The 2020 Subaru Outback VS The 2019 Nissan Rogue

  • The Subaru Outback off to a great start with two BOXER engines that are more powerful than the Nissan Rogue with its 170 horsepower 2.5L four-cylinder. The base 2.5L four-cylinder BOXER engine generates 182 horsepower and can tow 2,700 lbs. while the 2.4L Turbo BOXER produces 260 horsepower and can tow 3,500 lbs. The Nissan Rogue can also only tow 1,100 lbs.

The available all-wheel-drive system on the Rouge will cost $1,350 and won't offer the same level of capability. The Outback offers either 182 horsepower or 260 horsepower from its new 2.4L turbo; which can also tow up to 3,500 lbs. There is one RAV4 model that can also tow 3,500 lbs. otherwise, the RAV4 can only tow 1,500 lbs. The Outback powered by the 2.5L four-cylinder can tow up to 2,700lbs.
