Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The Subaru Outback comes standard with the award-winning safety suite: EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. Adaptive cruise control makes minor steering adjustments, ensuring that the Subaru Outback remains in its lane and maintains a set distance from the vehicle in front. Other additional safety features include a blind spot detection system, rear cross-traffic alerts, reverse automatic braking, a distraction mitigation system, and the Subaru Starlink Safety and Security app. Some of the other safety features include:
- A hill descent control that allows for extra stability and traction.
- Pre-collision braking to prevent accidents on Johnstown streets.
- An automatic braking system that minimizes front impact and reduces the engine power.
Trims Levels
The new Subaru Outback is available in nine trim levels: Base, Premium, Onyx Edition, Limited, Touring, Onyx Edition XT, Wilderness, Limited XT, and Touring XT. The first three trim levels, Base, Premium, and Onyx Edition, have the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder Subaru Boxer engine, while the rest have the 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru Boxer. Some cross-cutting standard features include the sliding moonroof, Subaru StarLink Multimedia, symmetrical all-wheel drive, and a hands-free power rear gate.
Higher trim levels have front skid plates, a lifted suspension that increases the ground clearance, a driver seat memory setting, leather seat upholstery, and power-folding side mirrors.
